I cannot see anymore the ’shared audio” option in this new version? Am I missing something?

I tried to download it to test but all I got was that the package is broken. I’m running latest os2008 on n800. Any idea what this can be?

I wouldn’t say “you can already install it quite easy going to the website and hitting install now” as the download speed is very sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow…it’s taking ages to download Canola2 Beta itself + ages to refresh maemo repositories…

I can’t believe all the tablet users can generate so much traffic at once.

What about the progress of open sourcing Canola? Once I read on the website “will be GPL’ed/opensource’d in future”. Now I cannot even find this anymore, maybe I’m just blind.

Hi Marcelo,

It is an excellent release. Seriously. I like it. Just a couple of things:

Video don’t read audios that are in the folder choosen. That makes you unable to diferentiate between Music and other kind of audios (radio programs, audio books, podcasts,…)

Most important: Covers are not working because there is no way to automatically download them. Am I right? Can we put a cover-1.jpg into a directory to make covers work?

Hi!
Thank you very much for this first release! It is definitely a must have for all NIT users!
After a quick test, the only things I’ve noticed is that it is a bit slow on my N800 (but I haven’t rebooted for long, so…) and (sometime) first ‘click’ on menu options is not taken into account.
… but I love what I’ve seen anyway ;-)
